ABOUT THE EVENT / Serverless Architectures

We are all probably still convincing our customers and employers to adopt he cloud. And they on their turm are probably still figuring out how to leverage the cloud to enable them to innovate faster, shorten their time-to-market and lower their operational costs.

Today we see a lot going on in cloud computing. From companies adopting the cloud by lifting their current infrastructure and placing (parts) of it in the public cloud, to companies who start to rethink their current workloads and placing them in the cloud as a microservice or a collection of microservices.

But still moving to the public cloud is not just redesigning your workloads or lifting and shifting your on-premises workloads to the cloud. It’s also about being more efficient, lowering your operational burden, and lowering your costs.

Serverless Architectures is the next big thing!

Although it’s been around for a few years now, all mayor public cloud platforms have services that are very stable and mature now. Also more and more services are added to the already growing marketplaces of those providers.

But how do you leverage those services and how do you architect collections of those services without losing control over your data, security, etc.?

On July, 19th 2018 we will update you on this latest trend and get you ready to fully adopt Serverless Architectures.

About Cloud Architect Alliance / Who are we

The CAA is the leading network event for experienced cloud architects in Europe. We organize high-end events centralized around relevant topics. The CAA organizes 4 events per year with the main goal to share knowledge and exchange experiences among (certified) professional architects. Each event is unique and brings best-in-class content delivered by thought leaders from the industry. As an independent forum, we separate the vendor speak from the real story, hence our participants enjoy highly valued talks while enjoying a top-class diner at an even better venue. The Cloud Architect Alliance is considered the only forum at this level for this audience. There is no comparable forum as-of-today.

Event FAQS / find your answers

Our Cloud Architect Alliance events are free of charge if you have received a personal invitation letter or email. With this email, you can register yourself for free and the CAA-committee will check if all registrations are relevant and invited and can make the decision to discard your registration if you don't fit in the profile or for any other reason.
Unfortunately, not. We host each event for 100 Architects and are fully booked out each and every time so without registration there won’t be a seat available. Please contact the organization for ad hoc availability.
Unfortunately, not. Only companies who sponsor our events are welcome to send a non-tech employee to attend the event.
Yes, absolutely! Because there are always more people willing to attend than we have available seats, it’s very important to discard your registration the minute you know you are not able to attend the event. This so we can invite another Cloud Architect to take your seat. Please look at our No-Show Policy for more information.
There is enough parking space available inside/ under the venue. Please follow the signs (entrance behind the building) and they will charge you €3,- per hour, same rate as outside the building.
Yes, absolutely. NS Station Amsterdam Amstel is directly on the opposite of the venue where you can take several trains, metro’s or trams and busses. There is also a big taxi stand in front of the entrance.
We try our best to plan the line-up so the last presentation won’t end later than 22:15. After a thank you the official program will end around 22:30 and we will close the event with networking and drinks after that if you would like to stay a bit longer. If you're wearing your dancing shoes, the city center is close by for an after party.
